Recently I decided to stop by the famous Parisian macaron maker, Maison Laduree, which has had a New York City store front since late 2011 on the Upper East Side.

]]> I am an extremely big lover of macarons, but never did I realize that I had to almost be a "baller" to afford such a simple and delicious confection. At $2.70 each, one better be ready to spend some serious cash at Laduree. And, if you opt to have your treats placed in a decorative box adorned with a Laduree labeled ribbon, expect to to pay for even that.

My purchase of 8 macarons were a very dear $25, including the box.

As much as I love the palatable joy that they bring me, I won't be adding them to my weekly grocery shopping list any time soon. Entenmann's cakes at the end of the supermarket aisle is not so bad, for now, until I become a true "baller." :)

There are also a few hilarious skits, one featuring rapper MC Lyte, proving that Gray may perhaps have a second career in comedy.

I am overly smitten with Jo Malone's London Blooms colognes.

]]> As one of my favorite fragrance lines, I'm already aware that this brand creates amazing luxury products, but I really wish that the London Blooms line, inspired by the British garden, was here to stay. Consisting of three signature scents: Iris & Lady Moore, White Lilac & Rhubard (my favorite of the three), and Peony & Moss, this is a limited edition collection. I really do hope that Jo Malone changes this and permanently adds them to their line because they are sweet, sweet, sweet.

Recently I attended the launch at Bloomingdale's which debut the trio. How excited was I? Let's just say if the cow jumped over the moon, I jumped over the moon, the stars, the sun, Mars and more in excitement. What made the event even more precious is that it was set up as a tea party, where finger sandwiches and refreshing lemonade was served whilst an expert flower designer decorated the room with bouquets as the inspirations for the colognes were discussed.

I am in love with Lancome's Rouge In Love collection of lipsticks. I'm particularly smitten with Midnight Rose (377N). It's a rich red that's not too deep with a slight seeming hint of pink.
