A few weeks ago I attended the preview event for the new hotel in Times Square called
YOTEL founded by British businessman Simon Woodroffe. And, while I found myself mesmerized by this futuristic rest and hangout spot in the middle of Manhattan, I was also quite fascinated by Mr. Woodroffe's footwear while he gave his welcoming speech about the hotel.
Simon poses in his Oliver Sweeney custom made shoes and shows off his skull and crossbones socks
Chatting with Simon afterwards, I could not help but query him about his very colorful blue and orange suede shoes at which time, he happily revealed to me that they were custom made for him by good friend and London shoemaker
Oliver Sweeney.

If you do not know about Oliver Sweeney, be advised that he is a master of bespoke shoe-making established in 1989. A man seeking style, flash and comfort built into one - be it for formal or casual wear - would be well served by a pair from his stock.
