Bermondsey flat - living room
If you are adventurous enough to head to London for the event, no doubt you will find it hard to acquire affordable and conveniently located lodging.
Keeping this in mind, we turned to Roomorama for a few London recommendations. Launched in January 2009, Roomorama is a short-term rental online marketplace where hosts from around the world can list private accommodations they have available and which guests can choose from to stay at. Rates vary per property.
Here are three examples of properties currently available which meet high, medium and budget standards for your Royal wedding visit to London. There's something to suit everyone's fancy.
Bermondsey flat - bedroom
If you willing to spend a bit of dosh (money) while in London, then this Bermondsey apartment might capture your attention. Though the shell might be that of an 1850's Victorian building, do not be fooled. The interior is all current and redesigned. Think two spacious bedrooms, modern bathroom with double sinks, a garden room and loads of amenities. Located across the Thames with the Tower Bridge tube station a 5 minute walk away, you'll have no issues getting around.
Bayswater flat - front entrance
Convenience, convenience, convenience should be the name of this particular property. Only steps away from Hyde Park, one can take a leisurely stroll as you head over to St. James's Park to await Prince William and Kate Middleton as they pass by heading to Buckingham Palace after their nuptials. This one bedroom flat comes with a full kitchen, private balcony, bathroom and dining area. Close to busy Queensway Road, many eateries can easily be found. The Queensway and Bayswater tube stations are also steps away, but in such a location walking allows for much sightseeing.
Southwark flat - kitchen and bedroom
This apartment in the Southwark section of London is located across the Thames not too far from the London Eye and National Theater. What a sensational way to begin your stay near such great sights. The property has two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and bathroom. Walking distance from the London Bridge tube station, you'll find yourself in Central London in time to catch the Royal procession.
